A Night to Remember: Celebrating 10 Years of Fintech Germany Award
What a milestone evening in the heart of Berlin !
The 10th Fintech Germany Award brought together founders, investors, policymakers, and pioneers for a night that captured everything FTGA stands for: innovation, connection, and community.
Held at the House of Finance & Tech (HoFT), this year’s ceremony marked a defining moment - a full decade since FTGA began as a vision to spotlight entrepreneurial excellence in Germany’s financial sector. From its early days in Frankfurt to a nationwide platform connecting startups, investors, finance people and ecosystems. The award has grown into a benchmark for recognizing the companies redefining the future of finance.
This year, the spotlight shone on both rising disruptors and established leaders, from Seed Stage innovators like Regpit, Steuerboard, and Beatvest, to Early Stage standouts NAO, 21X, and getquin. In the Growth/Later Stage category, Upvest, Tangany, and Raisin took center stage, while the Most Promising International Startup in Germany award celebrated Blockpit from Austria, Brite Payments from Sweden, and GenTwo from Switzerland. Special honors went to Tokenize.it for Web3 Innovation and Swiss 3rd-eyes analytics for Sustainable Finance. Together, they represent a generation of entrepreneurs transforming how finance works, scales, and serves people.
The atmosphere was as inspiring as it was inclusive — thanks to Nina Mohanty and Nektarios Liolios, whose energy and humor made every moment memorable, and to the the SPIELFELD Digital Hub crew for transforming the venue into a dynamic hub of atmosphere and celebration.
The highlight of the night was the Welcome Address by Kai Wegner, the Governing Mayor of Berlin, who afterwards mingled with the fintech community and reaffirmed Berlin’s role as a leading European fintech hub, clearly aspiring for more. His personal participation reflected how deeply fintech has become woven into Germany’s broader innovation economy, a symbol of progress that is now recognised at every level.
Guided by the FTGA Jury of leading figures from venture capital, banking, and technology, FTGA 2025 upheld its reputation for fairness and rigor in intense deliverations. Some of the Jury members honoured the entrepreneurs with laudatory speeches on award night, as there were: Alexandra Weck, Dr. Alex von Frankenberg, Franz von Metzler, Marius Raetz, Stefan Kempf, Dr. Sebastian Schaefer or Dr. Ulrich Schmitt.
But beyond the trophies, FTGA 2025 was a celebration of what makes this ecosystem thrive: collaboration and competition can go hand in hand, shared vision over silos, and the
courage to keep building even when the landscape shifts. Every conversation, handshake, and photo captured the collective spirit that has powered FTGA for incredible 10 years.
